When thinking about politics and economics, society criticizes its power. However, when you think about dealing with the coronavirus, it is still quite favorable due to the liberal regime. This is one of the findings of the latest Gallup International poll, conducted between February 22 and March 1 among 1,008 people.
Rumen Radev has maintained a positive personal rating for several years. For some time now, he has been the only such figure in Bulgaria, Gallup reports.
All other popular political figures in our country have a negative rating.
Currently, Radev’s rating is +24 and the presidency’s institutional rating is identical. One of the figures with relatively good confidence indicators is the Speaker of Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, with 17%. In it, distrust exceeds trust (score of -51). However, the agency clarifies that this is a standard situation for a Bulgarian politician.
Among the most confident figures in the country is Boyko Borissov: 23%. The rating is negative (-41), but Borisov is still finishing his third term as one of the favorite political figures in our country. This is largely due to the relatively strong support that GERB has developed over the years. Also contributing to this are the situational confidence “supplements” that the Prime Minister received in the first stage of the coronavirus in Bulgaria. Although they have not increased confidence in Borissov’s policy, they have helped prevent it from reaching critical levels since the summer recession.
People from smaller political forces are also less confident. And traditionally, the various opponents of a party show distrust in their leader.
Trust in the National Operational Headquarters moves alongside the waves of the virus, when fear is high and trust in the Headquarters is high. In the past month, 46% said they trusted Headquarters and 35% said otherwise.
The balance of the last year shows that the generalized image of the health authorities in our country is quite good. This is probably due to the fact that they are perceived as something removed from politics.
