A researcher from the National Research Service – Society died

Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and the leadership of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria offer their sincere condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues of Magdalen Marinov, a researcher at the National Investigative Service (NSI), who passed away on March 6, 2021 after illness. This was announced by the prosecution.

Magdalen Marinov graduated with a law degree in 1990, after which she became a prosecutor in the Plovdiv District Prosecutor’s Office. He has successively held the positions of Deputy District Prosecutor in the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor of the Sofia Municipal Prosecutor’s Office (SGP), Deputy Municipal Prosecutor in the SGP and Prosecutor of the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office. From 18.01.2018 to 24.06.2020 he was Deputy Director of the National Research Service.

Evgeny Gurov died

In her career as a magistrate, Magdalen Marinov has received numerous awards for her professional results and high moral qualities, including for her exceptional efforts in the fight against organized crime. He is the winner of an award named after the Italian magistrate Giovanni Falcone (2011).

The service will take place on March 9, 2021 at 2 pm in the Iglesia del Domingo Santo in Sofia.
