Dimitar Zhelyazkov’s lawyer wants his client to be transferred to a specialized medical institution.
About a week ago, Mityo Ochite was diagnosed with a coronavirus. Because of this, he was transferred to a remand in the Sofia prison. The prosecution refused to send Zhelyazkov to hospital for treatment, so his lawyer Ilian Vassilev has requested sanctions from the Specialized Criminal Court, Blitz.bg reported. Vassilev has written a complaint arguing that Dimitar Zhelyazkov’s condition is serious.
According to Mityo Ochite’s lawyer, he should be treated in Sofiamed, Tokuda, Pirogov or another hospital at the discretion of the court.
Dimitar Zhelyazkov has been assigned a medical examination and next week the court will consider the case. Ilian Vassilev also called for a milder measure of restraint for Mityo Ochite, who has been detained for almost two and a half years.
