The Ministry of Health has sent a strong letter to one of the vaccine manufacturers: AstraZeneca. NOVA has the document.
AstraZeneca will deliver twice as many vaccines as agreed in the EU
He points out that there is currently a serious delay in the supply of vaccines by the company. As an example: on March 1, Bulgaria will probably receive only 52 thousand doses of the drug, although according to the plan it should be more than 142 thousand.
For this reason, the Minister of Health insists that the company urgently send the 52,000 doses of the drug to Bulgaria tomorrow, and we are ready to provide air transport for this purpose.
Who can receive a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19
The document also affirms that mass vaccination in our country is advancing at a very rapid rate. And with the lack of vaccines, AstraZeneca “takes away people’s hope.”
On Wednesday, our country set a record for the number of immunized per day. From 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, 18,900 Bulgarians received vaccines.
