The popular BNT game “The Last Wins”, presented by Orlin Goranov, may be stopped next week due to an anti-Semitic statement by chess player Bobby Fischer, cited in its February 23 issue. This was stated by the CEO of BNT Emil Koshlukov to “24 Chasa”.
Due to the appointment, 71 intellectuals signed an open letter asking: “Who needed this crude anti-Semitic demonstration on national television?”
Fisher’s quote read during the game is:
“Jews don’t like to work. And this is one of the things that Jews hated very much in Hitler’s concentration camps.
There have never been gas chambers. This makes no sense! But when you go to the camp, there is an inscription: “Arbyte maht fry”. In Bulgarian: “Work makes you free.”
But the Jews don’t believe this. They think you have to do all the work and they take the profits. That’s the problem with the Jews. “
The letter from the people, outraged by the broadcast, was sent to BNT CEO Emil Koshlukov, CEM, Attorney General’s Office, as well as BTA, BNR, BTV and Nova TV. It was also posted on the Facebook profile of writer Lea Cohen, who is also among the signers, and her list continues to grow.
“I will impose the most severe penalties that the labor code establishes on all those guilty of disciplinary dismissal. Material sanctions will be imposed on producers, and I can stop the transmission until it is clarified why it is allowed. The air, until I receive the guarantees of that the team is controlled, that the producer, the editor, the responsible director are doing their job, “Koshlukov told 24 Chasa.
The decision on what will happen to the television game will be made next week.
