He added that the attitude towards culture is also expressed in other representatives of the PP ABC list, which is balanced as gender and representation of the communities.

Smirnenski ”, and I am sure that this will be appreciated with dignity by the representatives of cultural circles and the community of community centers in the region,” Petkov is categorical. My wish is to talk more about the problems and development of culture and education as two interrelated concepts and to solve a series of problems so that there is a place to work and we are needed – us artists – not only actors but also musicians, artists. . , sculptors, ”said list leader Veselin Plachkov, stressing that this is closely related to the economy. Among the problematic issues in this area, he listed the development of Chitalishte’s activity, the employment of the actors, the bases on which they work, and the issues that will be developed over the course of the campaign. For Pleven, one of the highlights he will work on is the construction of the Summer Theater, which in a pandemic will be sorely needed. “I have wanted to work more with children in school for a long time, I have always called for increasing the audience, creating the need for children to be in the theater, in the opera. Another urgent problem in the region is that of community centers. Due to four-month trials, all the community centers in the municipality of Pleven have suspended subsidies.
Rumen Petkov emphasized that he had personally informed Minister Boil Banov about this issue and was looking for an option to resolve it. He explained that the problem with community centers is much deeper and is not just Pleven. “If you go back to the genesis of relationships within the community center community, there are things that are very unpleasant and lead to absurdities. In the distribution of this type of subsidies, the legislation is such that it does not give a clear answer to the principles of subsidy distribution. Because I am going to register a library with 3000 volumes at home, I will make several ensembles in which I and several famous dancers from Pleven participate and I will have to be compared with community centers with 120-150 years of history and that are part of the image of Bulgaria cultural, not from a separate municipality. The question is big and it should be asked of all the candidates for deputies.
It is not just about traditions, but about the principles of managing limited resources related to culture, something that, unfortunately, the last 7-8 years has not worried any deputy. I still think that people with spirit, like Veselin Plachkov, will have the will and the energy to make it a topic for parliamentary discussion, ”said the ABV leader.
