The head and part of the upper extremities of the pedestrian who died in a car accident literally flew through the broken windshield of an Audi A8 car in the violent collision. The victim’s torso flew towards the ceiling and the lower limbs were found in two different places on the asphalt, according to the Stara Zagora prosecutor’s office.
The horrendous incident that we reported occurred around 6:40 p.m. on February 15 on the main road II-66 from the city of Limes to Nova Zagora, meters from the final sign with a speed limit of 50 km / h. At the wheel of the car was a 37-year-old man from Stara Zagora, who was literally shocked by what happened. It remains to be seen how fast the car was moving. There was no evidence of alcohol or drug abuse.
No identity documents were found in the victim’s remains, several possible versions are being worked out, including suicide, as the car was moving in the overtaking lane. The deceased appeared suddenly, the driver had no opportunity to reduce or brake, comment those familiar with the situation.
In the Traffic Police Sector of the ODMI – Stara Zagora, a process has been initiated prior to the trial for a crime classified in art. 343, para. 1 of the Penal Code.
The driver was detained for up to 24 hours according to the law of the Ministry of the Interior.
