Each EU Member State has the power to establish a national framework for the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine, ie. to determine people up to what and above what age to apply it. As for the AstraZeneca vaccine itself, I can’t say it was approved “in a rush.” There were no commitments in its marketing authorization. This was shared on the morning block of Nova TV by the president of the Bulgarian Association for Clinical Trials, Prof. Dr. Borislav Borisov.

He explained that not only vaccines, but any other medication can cause side effects.
There is a transparent order to report in such situations. So far, data on the first two vaccines from Pfizer and Modern show a very low number of side effects and there is still no concerning information, he said.
When asked whether it is correct for a person to be vaccinated if they have contracted the virus, Associate Professor Borissov recalled that there are no guarantees that we cannot be infected with a coronavirus, adding that such cases have been recorded.
In addressing the conspiracy theories surrounding the pandemic, he insisted they were foolish.
All the claims about the creation of COVID-19 are complete nonsense, because man is not capable of producing that virus. In the coronavirus, rosehip protein has two separate forms: one infects us and the other makes us sick. Only nature can create such a creation, according to Associate Prof. Borisov.
He added that there are currently more than 60 vaccines in clinical trials, 20 of which are in the final stages.
Everything that is allowed in the EU will reach Bulgaria, he assured.
Regarding the advances in the development of the Bulgarian vaccine, the adjunct professor Dr. Borislav Borisov admitted that he does not have detailed information, but that, as far as he knows, there are some difficulties, which in his words is normal given the great competition.
