The deputies got into a dispute in parliament over a request to hear Prime Minister Boyko Borissov for the Portuguese presidency, the FOCUS news agency reported.
The issue caused tension in the plenary hall and a series of procedures on how to drive. Dragomir Stoynev, BSP Vice President for the Bulgarian General Assembly, resumed it at the beginning of the plenary session. He recalled that a week ago here in the National Assembly he called on the Prime Minister to implement art. 105 of the Constitution and art. 128 of the Regulations of the National Assembly.
“He then promised to ask the prime minister to come to the hall this week and report to him first about the results of the priority files related to the German presidency and the new priorities regarding the Portuguese presidency,” Stoynev said.
The Speaker of Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, said she would have included the issue on the agenda, but Veselin Mareshki on art. 53 par. 3 was ahead of him and proposed to invite the Prime Minister to the National Assembly. “Yesterday we voted. This vote showed that you do not have enough votes to invite the prime minister. Here the hall decided that the issue is not on the agenda at this time. There is nothing you can do, Mr. Stoynev, the hall decided,” he added Karayancheva.
Georgi Svilenski from BSP recalled that a week ago he said he would study the rules and have the prime minister come here. One week is not enough for you. According to these rules, the Prime Minister is obliged to come here. It is not necessary that the parliamentary group of “Will”, BSP, GERB, MRF vote, for him to come here. It is your duty to be here for six months and say what the government is doing in the next six months of the EU presidency. How long do you have to read the rules? Vesselin Mareshki also intervened in the proceedings, pointing out that the Speaker of Parliament has no right to stop the circus and circus performers.
