7 vehicles collided
A chain accident occurred on the Struma Highway on Wednesday morning. The cars collided at the Petrich turnoff in the direction of Sofia. Traffic in the area is blocked.

Four people were injured, three of whom were transferred to hospitals in Sandanski and Petrich. One has a minor injury. Foreign nationals were also involved in the accident. There are no serious casualties.
“7 motor vehicles collided: 2 vans and 5 cars. The cause of the accident was heavy fog and inadequate speed. Witnesses to the accident are being questioned. As far as we know, the first driver slowed down due to fog and cars behind him collided with each other, “said Angel Atanasov, prosecutor for the Sandanski District Prosecutor’s Office.
The ring road passes through the “Melnik” road junction, Petrich – on the III-109 Novo Delchevo road – “Novo Delchevo” road junction, Damyanitsa – Struma motorway.
