Witnesses saw a window box fall in which a man was sitting with bloody hands
Today a severed head was found in a box on a street in the French city of Toulon, write Var Maten and West France.

At 2.30 p.m. local time, bystanders saw a box fall from a window on a building at Lafayette Square and Garibaldi Street in the city and then found a severed human head wrapped in a bloody garment inside. Passersby saw a man with bloody hands at the window and immediately called the police. Special units of the police arrived at the scene.

A search of the 40-year-old man’s home yielded a Japanese sword. There was a big mess in the apartment. The man was arrested and did not resist. Due to the incident, the area where the box with the head was found was cut off. It is not considered terrorism. It is assumed that it may be a conflict at the national level.

Toulon is home to the main Mediterranean base of the French navy. Previously in Toulon, French special forces foiled attempted terrorist acts.
