Traffic from km 7 to 9 of the Struma Highway is temporarily carried out in the lane in the direction of Sofia in both directions due to the collapse of a rocky massif. This was announced by RIA. It is necessary for drivers to drive with greater attention and adequate speed, following the instructions of the “Traffic Police”.
The Highway Agency told NOVA that a car was passing during the collapse. Fortunately, the driver and his passengers are unharmed. Only material damage was inflicted.

“Traffic in the right lane towards Pernik has been stopped. Cars moving from Pernik to Sofia pass through Malo Buchino and Vladaya,” said Rumen Sechanski, director of the Sofia Regional Highway Administration. According to him, the net did not last because the fallen piece was larger.
“You see what the temperature anomalies are, there was a lot of rain. The temperature dropped and the water froze. Then it melted and widened the joints in the rocks. Landslides don’t happen often. We haven’t had any accidents here. Eventually, the network can be strengthened, ”added Sechanski.
