The organizers of “The Rumble in Dar” estimate that the gala evening will be seen by more than one billion spectators. The main event is the WBF intercontinental title match in the lightweight category, against Ibrahim Klass and Denis Mvale.
The name of the gala is not accidental and is reminiscent of “The Rumble in the Jungle” when in 1974 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (then Zaire) Mohammed Ali inflicted the first defeat in George Foreman’s professional career, beating him in the eighth assault, in a clash for the WBC and WBA heavyweight titles.

“The Rumble in Dar” began with a surprise
The first match of the boxing gala night began with a match between Revai Madondo and Stumay Muki in the super flyweight category. Madondo surprised Stumay Muki, who so far has not been defeated and is already looking forward to his next showdown in a few months.
The museum overwhelmed Moadjike in seconds
In the second battle of “The Rumble of a Gift”, Lolita Museum recorded the 16th victory of her career, knocking out Happy Dodi Moadjike in the first round. The class on the levels was obvious, and it was extremely easy for the Museum to inflict an eighth defeat on Moadjike.
Ndembo defeated Kauai after referee decision
The third battle was between Imani Daudi Kauaia and Ardi Ndembo, who faced each other as outsiders and after a brilliant performance recorded their first victory in a 4-round match. In the first two rounds, Kauai held out, but in subsequent rounds he went into defensive mode, costing him victory.
Ramadani recorded an impressive victory over Mphiana
Nasibu Ramadani is one of the best boxers in Tanzania and unsurprisingly he recorded a great victory over Mphiana. It was a 31st victory for Ramadani, who shook his opponent several times, but after a powerful action, Mphiana fell to the ground and bounced off the TV camera, which may have helped end the battle.
The injury brought the biggest win for Hamadi Jongo
The last meeting before the Tervel clash, that between Shaban Hamadi Jongo and Sean Miller, ended quickly. Jongo started very strong and the match looked promising, but at the end of the first round Sean Miller injured his hand, forcing the referee to start the countdown. Thus, the fight ended due to the injury of the American and Jongo was announced as the new winner of the vacant WBF intercontinental belt in the light heavyweight category.
Kiranga and Musa put on a show for the fans
The reserve meeting of the organizers to catch up on the program was a light category between Saeed Mlosi Musa and Hashim Kiranga. Both boxers are inexperienced in the professional ring, which made the match extremely active and tense. However, the final winner of the clash was Hashim Kiranga after a judge’s decision.
In the next match of the evening’s program, Tervel Pulev smashed his opponent from Namibia and achieved a victory №16 in his professional boxing career. See more about the Bulgarian’s spectacular match HERE!
