The relatives of Petar Valeriev Angelov from Burgas, who was killed with a Kalashnikov rifle, want compensation for non-pecuniary damages of almost BGN 900,000. This became clear today during the trial against Ivan Petrov, 33, from the village of Madara in Shumen. crime.
In the courtroom it became clear that Valeriev has a 6-year-old daughter who was orphaned. The mother of the child, with whom the citizen of Burgas lived as a family: Andreana filed a civil claim on behalf of the child in the amount of 280,000 BGN, as well as interest on moratorium: compensation for delay. Peter’s parents, his brother – Bilyan and his sister – Anna, are private prosecutors and plaintiffs, and the compensation requested by them amounts to 150,000 BGN for each of them due to the loss of a relative.
22 expert reports were carried out in the case, showing indisputably that Petrov blew up his friend with a gun. Iván is also accused of holding a machine gun and 26 ammunition without permission.
We remind you that the crime occurred on November 16, 2019 in the “Norte” Industrial Zone, near Lake Vaya. After making it explode, he threw Petar’s body between the SO MAT railroad and Dolno Ezerovo, a day later he moved him about 200 meters, where a family from Burgas found him.
The two have known each other for 10 years, working together on construction sites. However, their financial disagreements led to a tragic outcome. Shumen’s defender – lawyer Rachev asked the court to re-question the victim’s uncle. It is unclear what his motives are, given that Peter had a normal relationship with his family, even though his parents were divorced.
On Thursday at 11 am, the neighboring District Court panel will hear Rumen Cholakov, after which Ivan Petrov’s sentence is expected to be delivered. He has been in custody since the murder.
