Donald Trump has been fired as president. According to Trump, in his role as head of state, he reaffirmed “the sacred idea that in the United States the authorities are accountable to the people.”

“We did what we came for, and much more,” he said.

The politician stressed that he had become “the first president in decades not to start new wars.”

His administration has “restored America’s strength” and “American leadership abroad,” Trump said. “We have breathed new life into our alliances (with other countries) and united other countries around the world to oppose China like never before,” the statement said.

In his view, the greatest danger facing the United States is the loss of self-confidence and “national greatness.”

“America is not a modest country of indecisive people who must hide and protect themselves from those with whom we disagree,” Trump added.

He said he prayed for the success of Joe Biden’s new administration to ensure the country’s security and prosperity. At the same time, he noted that his political movement is at the beginning of the road.

“Now, as I prepare to hand over power to the new administration at noon Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we have started is only the beginning,” he said.

Trump has again condemned the assault on the Congress building on January 6 after the rally in which he spoke.

“All Americans were horrified by the attack on our Capitol. Political violence is an attack on everything we value as Americans. This should never be tolerated,” he said.

President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20. Vice President Mike Pence was invited to the event.

Donald Trump, for his part, will hold his own farewell ceremony on the same day.
