Due to the global growth of those infected with COVID-19, the virus will begin to mutate more actively and super-strains will appear, the scientists warned, cited by the British Daily Mail. Recently, an average of 230,000 new daily infections have been reported in the world, increasing the chances that the virus will switch to pass through the immune systems of people with chronic infections, experts say.

In just 24 hours, American scientists have reported 3 supervariants spreading in the United States. They warn that the world will face many more mutations that will appear in different parts of the planet. Currently, the biggest concern continues to be the strain detected in the UK, which was not more deadly, but was 70% more contagious.

According to a new study, the lungs of people who have experienced COVID-19 are much more damaged than those of heavy smokers. The observations came from surgeons in Texas who had treated thousands of patients since the pandemic began. X-rays of healthy patients show large dark areas, which means that they can inhale a normal amount of oxygen. The lungs of smokers have large white spots and those of coronavirus survivors are almost completely white. This shows that they are badly damaged.

They also found two unusual symptoms of the infection: mouth sores and light patches on the tongue. About 20% of people do not experience the classic symptoms of the disease and some are rare, such as a skin rash.
