Argirova confirmed that other variants of COVID-19 are being tested in Bulgaria, but the results are not ready yet. She believes that there is no reason to believe that we do not have new mutations.

“There is no reason to believe that there will be any compromise of the vaccine,” added the virologist.

Professor Argirova said that if a person has been vaccinated, but other people around him have been vaccinated, it means a good vaccine. But a person who has been vaccinated is among people who are not vaccinated and at the same time do not observe the epidemic measures, so the situation is different.

“Vaccinated people can be carriers of the virus,” confirmed Professor Argirova.

“The fewer people are vaccinated, the more difficult it will be for us to return to normal life. There must be an intensified campaign. I have been vaccinated. Now I am in a period where I have to be very careful not to get infected. and it’s my second dose, “he said.

Professor Argirova only felt muscle tenderness, which passed very quickly.

“I have decided that 1 month after the second dose I will have an antibody test,” he added.

According to her, the protection that the vaccine will give her will be at least 1 year. Professor Argirova pointed out that there are even expectations that the defense will last 3 years, but it has not yet been proven.

The virologist thinks it is good to see if the Russian vaccine can also be used by EU countries.

“The approach of this vaccine is known, of course. People who have allergies and autoimmune, for them the Russian may be better,” explained the specialist.
