The youngest son of the brutally beaten woman in Haskovo is a suspect in her murder, Monitor writes. The body of pensioner Hatice, 74, was found on Tuesday.

“She was a kind and meek woman. This is a terrible tragedy. We are shocked!” Said neighbors of the victim.

The main suspect in the heinous crime, Guner, was single and lived with his mother. He had two older brothers who were married and emigrated to Western Europe.

His house is located on the miniature street “Pancharevo”. There are only two houses on it. It is so narrow that two people can barely pass, and entry by car is impossible.

Neighbors found the woman dead. They came across an ugly image. Hatice, 74, was bruised.
“Even at first glance, it was obvious that she had been beaten to death,” said people familiar with the investigation.

The autopsy found that the deceased had a right clavicle fracture, fractured ribs in the right and left intercostal space, a lower leg fracture, and multiple bruises on the face and body.

Numerous injuries are also the cause of death.

The investigation is in an early stage and so far no one has been officially detained, according to Haskovo police and prosecutors.

According to Monitor sources, the main suspect is the victim’s youngest son. According to the neighbors, he is between 37 and 38 years old. He had no job or income.

Guner has been in police custody since this morning and is expected to be formally arrested for at least 24 hours by Wednesday night.

“She was a meek woman, we didn’t know the son very well. He liked to drink, but he was not a fighter, “said neighbor Sunay Halim, who found Hatice’s body and called 112.

However, the man claims that he did not know his neighbors very well because he was abroad most of the year. You only came for the winter.

Guner has a completely different opinion. “He was an alcoholic. He drank his mother’s pension. He constantly harassed her for money.” The poor woman often ran out of funds, even for food and medicine, “they said.

In the even more extreme opinion of relatives, the youngest son trampled his mother with sedatives to make her lie down and sleep. So he had to take care of her less. And you gave more time for idleness and drunkenness.

Hatice was already difficult to move, say people from the predominantly Muslim neighborhood of Haskovo.
