The social network Twitter has temporarily closed the account of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, amid the riots in Washington. The head of state will not be able to post messages on the social network in the next 12 hours. The company warned that if Trump continues to follow the rules of the network, his account will be deleted.
This means that the @realDonaldTrump It will be blocked for 12 hours after the deletion of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not deleted, the account will remain locked.

Before announcing this decision, Twitter deleted several posts from Trump, reports CNN.

Among the deleted tweets is a video in which the head of state addressed his supporters who stormed the Capitol. He called on people to return home, but reiterated that “the elections have been stolen.”
“This claim is disputed and this tweet cannot be commented on, shared or liked due to the risk of violence,” they wrote on Twitter.

Facebook and YouTube also downloaded the recording.
In another deleted tweet, Trump wrote that “Vice President Mike Pence did not have the courage to do what was necessary.”
In the third blocked tweet, the US president called protesters in Congress “great patriots.” “This happens when a sacred and unequivocal electoral victory is unceremoniously snatched away by the great patriots who have been mistreated for so long,” Trump wrote, adding: “Remember this day forever!”

Some human rights organizations in the United States have demanded that all of the president’s social media accounts be shut down completely.
