Incidents in the mountains continue. Today an avalanche nearly buried a 25-year-old snowboarder in one of the ditches near the Damyanitsa hut in Pirin. Initially, there was even information that this had happened.
The young man was not seriously injured, but sought help from the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS), as he was unable to get rid of the fallen snow mass on his own, Nova TV reported.
He snowboarding on the marked trail, but went out and found himself in a difficult area. After an operation, they took out the snowboarder and went down with the rescuers.
However, rescuers warned that the danger of avalanches is extremely high. Only today this was the third avalanche, PSS told bTV in Bansko.
After being rescued, the snowboarder himself told television that he got out of line and was scared when he saw the avalanche. He called his friends and they beckoned to PSS.
