Construction of the Hemus Highway Photos: Facebook
The construction of more than 16 km of the Hemus highway on the stretch between Buhovtsi and Belokopitovo is progressing rapidly, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov wrote on his Facebook account. The laying of a basic layer of asphalt on the road will begin soon.
Work is also actively taking place on the rest of the road. The section from the “Boaza” road junction to the “Buhovtsi” road junction is under construction. The first 50 kilometers to Pleven are being intensively built. Preparatory activities are taking place around Veliko Tarnovo and the rest of Hemus is in the design stage, Borissov added.
Construction of the Hemus Highway is in full swing and will not stop. The funds are provided by the government. The process is in full swing and soon the journey to northern Bulgaria will be faster and safer, as we promised, the Prime Minister added.
