Sofia police have discovered the simulated robbery. On December 25 of last year, around 6:25 p.m., the Seventh Regional University received a robbery signal at the office of a fast loan company “Juventud”. According to the 32-year-old employee’s account, around 6 in the afternoon, an unknown man with a protective mask entered the site, threatened her with a knife, and she handed him a metal box with money and company documents.
As a result of the operational-investigative and procedural-investigative actions undertaken within the framework of the previous process initiated, it was established that the employee, in complicity with her 42-year-old friend, staged the robbery in order to cover up the misappropriation of money.
During the searches and subsequent searches of the house of the 42-year-old man convicted and exposed to the crime, the police also found drugs. After a report of the materials gathered at the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office, the two were prosecuted for a crime under art. 201 of the Penal Code, and the 42-year-old man was also charged under art. 354 a of the Penal Code.
They were in preventive detention for up to 72 hours.
