Sofia police officers revealed a simulated robbery, the Interior Ministry announced.

As a result of the operational-investigative and procedural-investigative actions undertaken within the framework of the previous process initiated, it was established that the employee, in complicity with her 42-year-old friend, staged the robbery in order to cover up the misappropriation of money. During the searches and subsequent searches of the house of the 42-year-old man convicted and exposed to the crime, the police also found drugs. After a report of the materials gathered at the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office, the two were prosecuted for a crime under art. 201 of the Penal Code, and the 42-year-old man was also charged under art. 354 a of the Penal Code. They were in preventive detention for up to 72 hours.
