One of the best and most respected urologists in the Burgas region – Dr. Vladimir Nikolov lost the battle with COVID-19. The death of the brilliant specialist, who would turn 60 in a few days, was announced by his colleagues at Life Hospital, Flagman reported.
In recent days, Dr. Nikolov’s condition has greatly deteriorated, he was in command of breathing. Despite the efforts of doctors, he was unable to recover and lost the battle with the cruel virus.
“His death is a great loss to both the hospital and the patients. He was a brilliant specialist and a wonderful person,” Life Hospital said.
Dr. Nikolov is among the most sought-after physicians in the entire field. He graduated from the English secondary school “Geo Milev” in Burgas, he graduated in Medicine in 1988 from the Military Medical Academy in Varna. He acquired the specialty of Urology in 1993.
He works in the field of Pediatric Urology, Onco-urology, Endo-urology with transurethral surgery, Andrology, Emergency Urology. Certified and with many years of experience in the field of minimally invasive urology, in particular semi-rigid and flexible ureterorenoscopies with laser lithotripsy. He has been part of the Life Hospital team since 2008
Dr. Nikolov died hours before the New Year. His funeral is today, January 2, at 2 pm in the Burgas Cemetery.
