Students in grades 5-12 remain in school from home until the end of January. This is stated in a new order from the Minister of Education, Krassimir Valchev.

The training of students from 5th to 12th grade will be carried out, as far as possible, in an electronic environment through the use of information and communication technologies, says the order, which was issued on the last day of December.
The heads of the regional education departments will control whether the order is carried out.
Minister Valchev’s order was issued in connection with an amendment to an order of Prof. Dr. Kostadin Angelov – Minister of Health, on the extension of the term of temporary anti-epidemic measures introduced on the territory of Bulgaria until January 31, 2021.
The order is issued due to the need to take measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, in order to guarantee the life and health of students, teachers and other school personnel.
Students in grades 1-4 will return for classroom training in schools beginning January 4, 2021.
