The opening of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in Bulgaria and Serbia will take place on January 1, and not today, as planned, BTA reported, citing TASS. Serbian President Alexander Vucic has announced that he will open the pipeline on the first day of 2021 in the early hours, near the town of Jabal.

The reasons for the deferral of discovery are not specified. Earlier, the Serbian president said that the pipeline was filled with gas and would officially open on December 30.

The gas pipeline passing through the territory of Bulgaria and Serbia is a continuation of one of the two lines of the “Turkish Current” inaugurated on January 8, 2020, through which gas will flow from Russia first to Turkey and then to Bulgaria Serbia and Hungary.
