Two people were injured in an accident on the Trakia Highway. One of them is in serious condition, the Interior Ministry announced. The traffic accident occurred in the 44-45 km area of the highway, in the direction of Plovdiv.

The signal of the accident was received by the police at 7 pm According to initial data, a car crossed the guardrail in the oncoming lanes and collided with another car.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the crashed cars was driving in the opposite direction. An old man was traveling in it, who they believe had died. In the other car, again according to eyewitnesses, there was a family with a child.
Police, fire brigade and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Steps have been taken to get people out of crashed vehicles.
