A 72-year-old man was beaten and robbed in the town of Ezero, Nova Zagora. The crime was committed on the night of December 28.
The perpetrators stole BGN 150 from the old man.

During the investigation it was established that JH and GP have broken into the home of a lonely old man to rob him. To do this, they prepared in advance and put on masks, hiding their faces. They entered the victim’s house and threatened him with knives. They then covered his head and beat him, punching him on the head. They took the sum of BGN 150 from him and left the victim’s house.
Later they bought alcohol and drugs with the stolen money. The defendants were identified and arrested thanks to the excellent performance of the employees of the DO of the Ministry of the Interior – Sliven. During the investigation, the knives and masks of the accused were found, which they threw to cover their tracks.
Today, December 30, 2020, the injured elderly man was visited at his home by prosecutor Ivan Ivanov – Ph.D. Administrative Head of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Sliven and Senior Commissioner Dimitar Velichkov – DO Director of the Ministry of the Interior – Sliven. They informed the victim that the perpetrators of the robbery had been arrested and had already been charged. Prosecutor Ivanov and Senior Commissioner Velichkov assured the old man that the prosecution and police would do everything possible to bring the perpetrators before the Bulgarian court as soon as possible.
