Fashion designer Pierre Cardin has died at the age of 98, his family told AFP.
Cardin is a French fashion designer of Italian descent, one of the most influential and famous names in the history of fashion.
He is the creator of pret-a-porter.
Pierre Cardin died this morning at the American Hospital in Neuilly, west of Paris.
In 1960, she broke with the traditional approach to fashion as an art primarily for women and created the first collection for men. There are about 500 patents. He was one of the first to turn to denim to create a youth fashion line.
“When I leave this world, there will be heirs, of course. These are three young designers with great skills who do not have to copy me,” Pierre Cardin told AFP in 2019.
