The owner and director of the Classic International School, Reni Ilieva, has passed away after complications from a coronavirus. Ilieva died in the hospital before Christmas Eve. For more than a month, doctors have been very careful to save her, but they have failed, Maritsa reports.

Reni Ilieva is one of the iconic figures of Plovdiv education after the democratic changes. In 1997 he founded the Classical Private Primary School. Today it is growing and includes Wonderland Kindergarten, Classic Private Primary School and Classic Private Profiled High School. Due to the high standards of teaching and learning introduced by Reni Ilieva, the International School Classic was accepted last year to become part of the global family of IB World Schools. Classical students can obtain British secondary education qualifications, an international baccalaureate diploma and a Bulgarian diploma.
