The best tennis player in the world of the moment, Novak Djokovic, was involved in another scandal. This time, the blame is on a photo of the Joker with a bottle of brandy. So for the second time this year, Nole got into trouble.

As is known, in the summer the Serbian received serious criticism, when in his Adria Tour charity tournaments a big party was held in a nightclub, and then several tennis players, including Grigor Dimitrov, were infected with COVID-19.

Now the reason for the scandal was a gift that Novak Djokovic gladly showed to his fans. He posed with a special brandy, in which the face of the Serbian guerrilla Draza Mihajlovic was placed. This provoked a serious reaction in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Throughout his career, Djokovic avoided getting involved in scandals by national provocations against the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Now, however, with a photo he has destroyed everything built over the years, and his reputation will be seriously seen damaged, “announced the most popular Bosnian site Klix.ba.

“Djokovic was photographed with brandy, representing the Chetnik criminal Draza Mihajlovic,” added Croatian Index.hr, which features part of the biography.

Draza Mihajlovic has a controversial reputation in the former Yugoslavia. Some revere him as a World War I hero and later rescue many Allied pilots during the German occupation during World War II.

However, Mihajlovic’s guerrillas were often allies of the German occupation authorities and, in some cases, even acted as police units. On July 17, 1946, the socialist authorities of Yugoslavia shot him dead as a war criminal. The court did not accept the testimony of the Anglo-American pilots, who were assisted by Draža Mihajlović.
