New facts about K-19 in our country! A big difference between infected and cured

The new cases of coronavirus patients in Bulgaria during the last 24 hours of Christmas are 257, compared to 2072, of which 1060 are PCR and 1012 are with rapid antigen testing. This is shown in the latest data from the Unified Information Portal.

We remind you that on Friday there were 772 patients, with 3,669 tests performed, of which 627 were detected by PCR tests and 145 by rapid antigen tests.

We remind you that by order of the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov, antigenic tests for the detection of COVID-19 are now equated to PCR tests. Positive results will be reported as confirmed coronavirus cases.

Active cases in Bulgaria as of December 26 are 80,976, and the total number of positive tests in our country since the start of the pandemic is 196,915 people.

There are 50 people who died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in our country, so the total number of victims is 7073.

We remind you that before the introduction of stricter measures by the government, the number of deaths per day was 150.

By the last day, the number of K-19 fighters in the country is 1186. Thus, the total number of joints healed is 108 866.

A total of 5,580 people are housed in the hospital and 512 of them in the intensive care unit.
