Giving vaccines to RS Macedonia from Bulgaria is a bridge of friendship, and we are not destroying the bridges of friendship. This was stated by Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in an interview with Kanal 5 TV.

“It is an act of friendship. The extended hand is an extended hand. I thanked Prime Minister Boyko Borissov,” he said, adding that he was communicating with his Bulgarian counterpart, reports BGNES.

Posting on Facebook earlier this week Zaev thanked Bulgaria for donating vaccines.

Zaev pointed out that RS Macedonia and Bulgaria are friends in the region. “We are continuing the talks with Bulgaria,” the Macedonian prime minister added.

Zaev reiterated that RS Macedonia has no territorial claims on Bulgaria and does not intend to interfere in the internal affairs of our country. The main problem is history, but these questions must be left to historians. He noted that there is progress in the work of the Bulgarian-Macedonian Joint Commission and is close to finding a solution, the problems of other historical figures are already being discussed.

“I have often used the expression that we are brothers, that we need to build friendships. But suddenly our friends decided to become our parents and that created a problem. It is the historical commission that discusses historical questions. The general history is both Bulgarian and Macedonian, not just Bulgarian or just Macedonian. Tsar Samuel is a common story, the fight against the Ottoman Empire is a common story, “Zaev emphasized.

He added that the Balkans have a common history, Europe has a common history.
