The Slovak ram came into the sights of CSKA. This is the 23-year-old striker from Zlate Moravce – Philip Balay, writes “Topic: Sports”.

The Blade is having a great season so far and ended the fall portion, sharing the lead among scorers with Dunajska Streda’s Joel Kalmar with 11 goals each.

In fact, Balay scored more than 1/3 of Zlate Moravce’s 30 goals in the championship. The team is currently in fourth place in the Slovak Fortuna League with 24 points, 20 points behind leader Slovan (Bratislava).

Local media calculated that the striker is the most successful Slovak for 2020 with a total of 13 goals, having scored twice in the spring for his former team Zilina, who, however, went bankrupt and separated from most of his players.

Philip Balay was born on August 2, 1997, he is 192 cm tall and has a strong right leg. He has good rebounding, heading play and excellent placement, often scoring after an addition.

In his career he fought alone in his homeland, playing only in 3 clubs: Nitra (2014-2017), Zilina (2018-2020) and Zlate Moravce, where he spent the summer. There are a total of 70 games and 32 goals for Nitra. In its first three seasons, however, the team struggled in the Second League.

He played for Zilina for three years, registering 56 matches and only 7 goals in the elite, and was often sent to gain experience in the reserve team. For the Slovak youth team there are 6 matches and 1 goal. For teenagers up to 19 years it also has 6 games.

However, his good performance since the beginning of the season for Zlate Moravce attracted great interest in him, especially since his contract expires in the summer and each club can sign a preliminary contract only days after the transfer window opens.

CSKA is determined to choose a center forward at any price, regardless of whether he part ways with Ali Sow. Bruno Akrapovi has so far rotated Georgi Yomov, Enrique and even Sankare as second forwards.

The club also wants to hire a central defender, with Dinish Almeida and Chilean Francisco Siepalta from Watford being the main options at this time, who may come on loan. The defensive midfielder is the friction post that is about to get stronger.
