A new mutated strain of coronavirus has been identified in the UK. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Matt Hancock. Two such cases have been reported in people who have returned from South Africa.

“This new version is very worrying because it is even easier to transmit and seems to have mutated more than the other that has already been discovered in the UK. We have taken the following steps: First, we have quarantined the cases and their close contacts. Second, we impose immediate restrictions on travel from South Africa. “Finally, and most importantly, everyone in the UK who has been to South Africa in the last two weeks and everyone in contact with him should be quarantined immediately,” Hancock said.
