“These holidays will not be like the previous ones. On the mood: A quarter of people have changed their plans for the holidays due to COVID-19. This is quite normal, we are talking about young people here. Almost half will limit their social contacts, for example, meetings with more distant relatives, “explained sociologist Dimitar Ganev on the air of Nova TV for a new study of” Trend “.
According to him, a large number of people over 65 are of this opinion.
Compared to previous years, there is a decrease in the number of people who will buy gifts. According to Ganev, one of the factors of this is the damage to the financial situation of the Bulgarians.
“We did some research on COVID-19. We tested the attitude towards the two, say, poles or sources of these: Associate Prof. Mangarov and Gen. Mutafchiiski. There are people who have a positive attitude and trust both at the same time,” he explained the sociologist.
In March and April there was full support for the measures, in the summer the prevailing opinion was that the introduction of additional measures is not necessary. Since November, when mortality has risen, people’s opinions have changed dramatically and most measures are supported.
“The Bulgarian citizen is not informed only by the Bulgarian media. They also compare the situation in Europe. During the months we had enormous amplitudes, it is very difficult to make a summary,” added Ganev.
