I remember how 30 years ago it was announced that ships with bananas were traveling to Bulgaria. Now it is the same with vaccines. This was stated by journalist Ivo Indjev in the study of “Face to Face” on BTV.
Indzhev commented on the attitude of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, during the pandemic: “Trump’s demonstration was that he was coming to change the world. This was a bad joke for him because the Americans were disappointed. He was punished in elections by the middle class. They saw in his face a man unworthy of leading this nation.
Regarding the election of Joe Biden, the journalist was adamant: “Biden broke the trend of populism.” According to him, it is difficult to predict which of the two presidents will be better for Bulgaria. He stressed that the United States is an indispensable factor in world politics.
Indzhev also commented on Bulgaria’s place in the global distribution of power: “Historically we have suffered from the Russophilia pandemic. This keeps Bulgaria at the bottom of the EU.”
The blogger clarified that Biden’s attitude toward Russia is critical, citing the words of the newly elected US president: “The mania for Russia’s greatness always ends in bread coupons.”
The journalist was optimistic about the international situation and the role of Bulgaria: “We are in the EU and in NATO. We are on the side of the two most powerful alliances. This time we are not on the losing side.
According to him, the missing word of the year is Chinese flu: “I’m on the same side as President Trump here.” According to him, a new name for the coronavirus was deliberately invented so as not to affect China: “This violates the tradition of naming viruses by country of origin.”
On the possible escalation of relations between Russia and the United States, he said: “Biden said he would be firm on human rights violations. That irritates Moscow a lot.
Biden’s America will be different from Trump’s America in this regard, the journalist said. According to him, the latest cyber-attack of Russian origin will be a catalyst in the dynamics of Biden’s attitude towards Russia.
The problem is that we have remained isolated due to the negotiations with North Macedonia, Indzhev concluded.
