The Council of Ministers adopted changes to Tariff № 4 for the fees collected in the Ministry of the Interior system under the Law on State Fees.
A new art has been created in the Highway Traffic Act (RTA). 145a, according to which before the transfer of ownership of a registered motor vehicle, the owner of the transferred vehicle may submit an application to maintain the vehicle registration number for the registration of another vehicle of the same category and the termination of vehicle registration for a fee. in the amount specified in the rate of the Council of Ministers.
With the Decree modifying and supplementing the Rate № 4, the provision of art. 145a, para. 1 of the Public Procurement Law, as in art. 26 of “Section V” Fees of the Law on Road Traffic “, the current text becomes paragraph 1 and paragraph 2, according to which the following fees will be charged for the maintenance of the vehicle registration number for the registration of another vehicle of the same category, requested by the owner:
– for the registration number according to par. 1, Article 3 (for the right to use license plates for automobiles with four identical digits in the serial number): 300 BGN;
– for the registration number according to par. 1, point 4 (for the right to use license plates with a registration number for cars with a combination of digits: “aa-bb”; “av-va”; “av-av”, where “a” and “c” are different numbers from “0” to “9”, and for plates with registration number with a combination of four digits if desired) – 200 BGN;
– for the registration number according to par. 1, article 5 (for the right to use plates there is a registration number for cars with a combination of six letters and / or numbers at will) – BGN 1,000;
– for the registration number outside the cases of para. 1, items 3, 4 and 5 of art. 26 of the tariff № 4 – 100 BGN.
This new rate will be added to the existing rates at the same rate for dialing a number. According to the current rules, a record can be chosen and, depending on the combination, its price can reach up to BGN 7,000, by choosing both letters and numbers. The retention of the license plate after changing the vehicle is also the most salty: 1,000 BGN.
