Earlier, the security company “VIP-Security” announced a reward of 200,000 BGN for information about the attack. According to unofficial information, around 1 million BGN were stolen during the robbery. So far, neither the Interior Ministry nor the Prosecutor’s Office have confirmed the amount. Friday’s attack was carried out by four armed robbers. Two of the company’s employees were attacked with a collection vehicle. One of them was injured and was taken to hospital. There were no shootings, according to the Interior Ministry.
The robbery took place in front of a building with offices of CEZ and EasyPay. There are more than 60 cameras in the city center, but they are not maintained by the municipality, Deputy Mayor Stefan Krastev explained to bTV.
