“This incident cannot be accidental. This is carefully planned, it cannot be related to domestic crime and the general levels of crime in Pernik,” Deputy Mayor Stefan Krastev told bTV.
Yesterday, during an armed robbery of a collection vehicle, a large amount of money was stolen, around BGN 1 million, according to initial data.
Krastev clarified that not much is known about the theft yet, as an investigation is underway. According to him, this is not a domestic crime that would endanger the lives of the residents of Pernik.
The deputy mayor also said that there are more than 60 video surveillance cameras in the city center, which are at the disposal of the Interior Ministry. However, those who are at the crime scene do not have the support of the municipality.
According to investigators, in such situations criminals conduct serious investigation and monitoring.
