“We have to get used to the new normal, we will not come back to life before March 2020,” the sociologist and BSP of the Bulgarian MP, Professor Ivo Hristov, told BNR. He stressed that there is a disease, it is very insidious, but the reaction to this infection is disproportionate to the one we have. “Swine flu has killed many more people than Covid-19,” he said.
He defined the cliche “conspiracy theories” as the new censorship:
“People are wary of vaccines because they know they are being lied to. We are not talking about vaccines, it is a great success for humanity. However, something profound seeps through this approach: the division of the elite and others and the enormous distrust of this elite, not only in Bulgaria. “
According to the MP, people do not know how this coronavirus appeared, they do not know why there are hidden effects of its course:
“The most serious problem is that the vast majority of the world’s elites have used the Covid hysteria to pursue their goals for new forms of government, manipulation and control. For new forms of revenge for all social and other freedoms that the people of the civilized world have achieved in the last 100-150 years. “
Elections in a pandemic
“There are not many unknowns. Neighboring Romania held model elections in the middle of the pandemic. Of course, this is used here as a pretext: when you don’t want to do a job, you will find thousands of reasons not to do it … Without knowing how – to see across the “Danube Bridge”, commented Professor Ivo Hristov.
According to him, the president only indicated a model date, March 28, according to the Constitution, but suggested that Rumen Radev will decide when the election date will be, after consulting with the main political forces and epidemiologists, due to the epidemic situation. in the country. according to him, he has become political.
“What is presented to us is demographic research, not sociological research … Many things can happen until March or April, so I would not rush to draw definitive conclusions,” said the sociologist in relation to public opinion polls from various sociological agencies , which present forecasts of voters’ attitudes towards the upcoming elections.
According to Professor Hristov, there will be no party that can rule Bulgaria on its own from now on:
“We will go through mandatory coalition formats, the question is how exactly will they be formed. Regardless of who wins the election, we will enter short parliaments and frequent elections.”
It also predicts an option in which Bulgaria will have an interim government for a long time. The MP did not rule out the call for a government of national salvation, behind which to unite all the political forces that cannot officially form a coalition.
The sociologist named only Slavi Trifonov’s party as the only non-parliamentary party that will now enter the next parliament.
