Theft of a large amount of a car collection in Pernik. Four attackers took around a million leva, according to NOVA. The two guards were not seriously injured.
The robbery took place in the CEZ – Pernik area. Investigative measures have been taken, but the perpetrators have not yet been arrested.
Police did not reveal whether there were gaps in the security of the collection vehicle and accomplices of the four men in the robbery.
“There were weapons, but they were not used,” said Interior Ministry Director Pernik, Chief Commissioner Dimitar Popov.
“Preliminary proceedings have been initiated and procedural actions are being carried out. The situation is dynamic and we are working on many versions. Everything that has a connection and will help is being investigated,” added Pernik District Attorney Galina Antova.
“The preliminary proceedings initiated are for armed robbery. It is especially large. The amount is claimed to be approximately BGN 1 million, but this will be clarified at a later stage,” said Deputy District Attorney Pernik Biser Mihailov.
According to him, the perpetrators had preliminary information about the money in the collection vehicle.
“We have leads, but this is an investigative secret. We do not suspect anyone,” added Mihailov.
