A 23-year-old man was caught with more than 23 kg of cocaine at the Levoso border checkpoint, announced the Appeal Prosecutor’s Office in Burgas.

On October 16, the young man tried to cross the border in the direction of Turkey. He was traveling in a car with a Belgian registration. The car was searched and customs officials found an additional metal cover over a factory cavity in the trunk, intended for the spare tire. A total of 22 packages were found, recorded, in the adapted cache.

They found more than 50 kg of cocaine on a boat in Varna

A field drug test showed it to be cocaine. The total value of the seized narcotic substance amounts to more than BGN 2 million at court prices.

For this crime, the defendant can receive a penalty of 15 to 20 years in “prison”. The law also provides for a fine of 200 to 300 thousand BGN.
