The leader of the BSP in Plovdiv, Georgi Gergov, has said that he intends to leave the party’s National Council. This happened at a delegates meeting in Plovdiv tonight. And his main reason was that his voice as the leader of the second largest red organization could not be heard, those present at the meeting said. At the last congress, Gergov entered the National Council as a delegate from Plovdiv, as each district has the right to send one representative.

At the meeting, Gergov criticized that only the votes of those closest to the leader Cornelia Ninova were taken into account in the plenary sessions, and whoever disagreed with her became Varna’s deputy Ivan Ivanov. The one who was expelled from the party because a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated accused of beating a fellow party member.

Acquaintances recalled that the All Party Control Commission canceled the election of a new BSP regional leader in Plovdiv and defined the meeting held at that time as unconstitutional. And the Executive Bureau has sent an inspection. Therefore, Gergov hoped that with his retirement from the National Council, the inspections at headquarters would stop.

In her speech, Gergov criticized the leader for surrounding herself with people who are only interested in being leaders of the deputy lists and being on the state feed. He remembered his words that Ninova’s victory as leader would be his undoing.

There is a decision of the delegates, when it comes out officially, I will comment on it later, Gergov himself told “24 Chasa”. According to the participants in the meeting, the regional chairman of the BSP in Plovdiv did not mention the name of the deputy from Varna, Ivan Ivanov.
