What we expected to happen happened: December 21 is another missed date. Both the headquarters and the Medical Union did not want the measures to be hardened and apparently they reconciled with these 191 dead yesterday.
“We do not understand how the Medical Union has hundreds of people in hypermarkets, non-food stores, and between 20 and 30 people at its table is a problem,” said the president of the Bulgarian Restaurant Association Richard Alibegov, according to which the current measures January 25. Days before January 31 we will talk about the same things again. He commented on the subject, given yesterday’s intention to continue with the measures, although not all.
We are in the first place in terms of mortality: healthcare is not now, it has been a huge black hole for years, both for finances and for the doctors who leave. Obviously someone is not doing something somewhere, Alibegov continued critically.
According to him, the closure of November 27 should have been much more strict. “We are trying to fight the pandemic with restaurants and gyms. With these two things we will probably not fight,” Alibegov told BNT.
We expected two things to happen on December 21, either to relax things or to tighten up the measures. But to maintain the current situation, we did not expect it, added Alibegov. “This 2020 is a great loss, unfortunately we do not see light in the tunnel,” he emphasized.
Most likely, the state will take over 75% of the salary from January, for closed companies. We believe it will be accepted, Alibegov reported.
