Bulgaria grants BGN 580,000 in aid to North Macedonia

Bulgaria supports North Macedonia with a grant of BGN 579,789. The money will finance seven projects of official development aid and humanitarian aid through the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deals on the first four sites are worth BGN 415,480. and affect health, youth development and civil society.

Agreements were also signed with the Association for the treatment of children “In My World” of Skopje for the execution of two projects: “Reconstruction and equipping of the first day-care center for young people and adults with autism spectrum disorders” worth BGN 234,700 and for treatment and sensory therapy of children with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and Asperger’s syndrome from socially disadvantaged families 2021 “. Three more agreements will be signed.

The signed project agreements fall within the framework of the decision taken by the Council of Ministers earlier this month to award a total of BGN 2,560,812 in grants for the financing of projects in the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia.

The selection of projects carried out together with the beneficiary countries is in line with the Bulgarian foreign policy priorities, among which is the strengthening of the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries.
