A driver who was traveling at 240 km per hour condemned the traffic police for an act of illiteracy

A driver got away with a fine of more than BGN 1,000 after a serious traffic law violation, and the court ordered the police to pay the lawyer’s legal fees, Trafficnews.bg reported. The man was driving his Mitsubishi at over 150 miles per hour on the highway near Plovdiv in the direction of Burgas.

At kilometer 108, a patrol with a speed camera reported a speed of 102 km / h over the limit. A receipt was issued with the fine: 850 BGN. Later, however, it was revoked and reissued with a higher fine: 1050 leva. However, this turned out to be a mistake on the part of the Plovdiv Traffic Police.

The driver’s criminal decree was referred to the jurisdiction of the District Court under the hills. The man filed a complaint for the annulment of the sentence for illegality. The act suffered from a lack of competence and had inaccuracies and errors.

The cancellation of the initial slip-up eventually played a bad joke on the Plovdiv police, becoming one of the reasons the magistrates overturned the sanction. According to the court, this constituted a serious violation of his rights to fines and deprived him of his rights of defense. Inaccuracies were also found in the documentation of the Traffic Police, the act and the documents completed for the camera.

The camera position got confused by about 300 meters. The electronic file confirms that the offense occurred at kilometer 108 of the Trakia Highway, in the direction of Burgas. The police team documents included another location: 107 + 600 kilometers.

Therefore, the driver not only did not comply with the sanction, but also ordered the Ministry of the Interior to cover the costs of his legal services in the amount of BGN 600.
