“In 2017, we signed several agreements with the Republic of North Macedonia on cooperation in the field of defense and security. After its accession to NATO, it has absolutely no initiative on these agreements,” Karakachanov said, citing examples of politicians from the neighboring country. “For this reason, the position of Bulgaria was not fully understood by all our partners,” said Karakachanov. “I think time will pass, I hope not long, because the disputes between Macedonia and Greece took 28 years, which Macedonia lost in the way of its Euro-Atlantic integration.
