The province’s defense ministry with ethnic Albanians said in a statement that the Azeri soldiers were launched an attack on Friday night. The agency clarifies that three Armenian soldiers were injured during collisions. It is added that the soldiers are in stable condition and are being investigated.

With the mediation of Russia Armenia signed an agreement with Azerbaijan on November 9, six weeks later of fierce fighting for Nagorno-Karabakh.

As part of the peace agreement, Armenia agreed to return 15-20% of Nagorno-Karabakh, won by the Azeris during the war, including the historic city of Shusha.
