The management of Botev (Vratsa) published on its official website an ironic letter of thanks to the Judicial Commission of the Bulgarian Football Union. The reason is most likely last night’s mistakes by referee Radoslav Gidzhenov in the match against Slavia, which to some extent helped Vratsa’s fourth loss in a row.
We publish it without editorial intervention:
Detelin Bayaltsaliev in “Top Forecasts”: More and more unprepared judges enter the elite, lack of independence is a big problem
“The panel of judges is selected under pressure, and the referees follow what they see as a line of conduct.”
“Thank-you letter
With this letter we would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the work of the judging committee of the Bulgarian Football Union and personally to its president, Kostadin Stoichkov. Once again, your appointed referees cope perfectly with the management of a Botev Vratsa match. We admire the perseverance with which he works for the benefit of Bulgarian football.
We are confident that in the future you will continue to send us the most competent and impartial teams of judges.
Thanks again for the great refereeing and we could even afford to offer an increase in refereeing fees in professional football. Your boys are worth it!
We sincerely wonder why PFC Montana colleagues threaten to leave the group and want sanctions for Volen Chinkov. We are categorically against such provocations! Clubs like ours should not claim unmarked penalties, cards and ambushes, because with this behavior we only spoil the wonderful image of Bulgarian football and refereeing. Thanks again!
